At 42, after having recovered from colon cancer, I’d say this:
You only get so much time and things change drastically once you become an adult. Enjoy the fact that you have very few responsibilities. You will never have the amount of free time that you have now ever again. Appreciate your parents, they are very good ones and you have no idea what they are dealing with. Stop wasting time on social BS. Caring about being liked and fitting in really limit you in the end, cultivate your authenticity instead. Spend time on what you are passionate about, like art and music. Trust your intuition more than what others tell you and keep questioning things. Focus on exercising, stretching and eating healthy! High school seems like it will go on forever and that it is so important. Over 20 years later, you wont even remember anyone from high school.
