Last weekend, my partner and I went to Merritt Island to do the Black Point Wildlife Drive. It was so beautiful and we saw a lot of birds. I think if we’d gotten there earlier there may have been a lot more, but it was still worth doing. We saw a few gators too. I brought my camera along, hoping I could get some good shots and I did.   But I need to get a telephoto lens if I want to get really good close ups of birds.  Most were just too far away.  Anyway, this painting is based on one of the photos I took. It’s still a WIP.
