My partner and I went on a cruise and I took tons of photos as usual.  Feeling inspired by my vacation, I set a time limit and painted some of the photos.  I like the way the chickens turned out.  There were chickens everywhere in St. Croix and also in San Juan.  I love birds and especially chickens – they’re so adorable.  I wanted to get some as pets, but I’m pretty sure the HOA doesn’t allow them (which is bs) but they also require quite a bit of maintenance. 

I don’t really like the way the beach painting turned out. I think it might have turned out better on a larger surface. I prefer to paint on large surfaces, but for practice I use smaller ones because it’s less wasteful. I’ll probably paint over these last two.

There were a few iguanas near the port in St. Thomas.  They were so cute just sitting on the rocks and we even saw one in the water!  I had no idea they could swim. This one isn’t done, it would need more time to finish but as much as I love reptiles, I really don’t enjoy painting them.
