Finally!  Some paintings I am happy with!  OMG it’s so rare for this to happen.

This one is inspired by a photo I took in Germany (the featured image in this post).  I’m really trying to work on value. It’s one of the things I find very challenging, especially on the figure.  In the past when trying to add the values it would look so wrong, so I just avoided it 😆 I lacked the confidence to even try to really attempt it. I realized that was a main reason why my art looked less realistic than I intended. Light and dark values really make something look realistic. I noticed this even in abstract work. It’s not necessarily very detailed but the values make it look realistic.

This next one is just inspired by my past love of dance. And also flowers.
