The background of this painting was inspired by the lunaria plant. When I was a kid, one of the things I found fascinating was this dried plant that my parents kept in a vase.  It just looked so cool and it was only recently that I remembered it and managed to find out what kind of plant it was.  It turned out to be the lunaria plant also known as a silver dollar plant.
