Every October I do Inktober, but in my own way … I just use it as inspiration to do a challenge.  I’ve been playing around with some loose ideas in my sketch book. 

I don’t know if I’ll be using all of them, some days I’m definitely going to do something quick and easy, but it’s very helpful to plan.  I’m definitely going to use inks, maybe some acrylics or oils depending on how much time I end up spending on each piece.

Just looking at the crappy lighting of these pictures makes me cringe, I even edited them… And took them near a window. Oh well.

My absolute art goal is to be able to draw from my imagination.  I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to do it perfectly, but it’s definitely what I’m working towards. It would be amazing just to be able to create whatever I want from my mind.  I feel that working from references for the figures is limiting and the drawings end up kind of stiff.

Anyway, I’m really looking forward to October.
