For some reason I felt like painting ocean themes.  I enjoy painting the abstract shapes of water, it’s something I didn’t realize I liked until recently.  I started these in black and white, then added colors afterwards.  It’s a fun way to work and makes seeing the values much more straightforward.

Also following the ocean theme, I have been working on large mermaid paintings.

These are in acrylic, but I’m finishing them in oils.
