Painting a galaxy was more difficult than it seemed. At least trying to get it very accurate was difficult. I found it challenging to get the subtle value changes in color. Afterwards, looking at the painting, it still didn’t look realistic enough to me even though I spent more time on this one. Which is exactly why this kind of practice is so valuable! It forces the mind to focus on improving in small, subtle ways.
